About me
My interest in medicine was sparked at a very young age. From early on, I was certain that I wanted to pursue this path with dedication, in order to support and accompany people through medical care.
A defining turning point came with a voluntary service abroad, which I undertook right after finishing school. The intensive work on the ground showed me not only the vital importance of reliable medical care, but also awakened my deep passion for working with children. Since that formative year, my resolve to dedicate myself entirely to pediatrics has been unwavering.
After successfully completing my medical studies, I went through several years of thorough specialist training in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Today, I'm glad to be a permanent part of this practice, providing the best possible care for my patients.
My approach
Modern medicine offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic options. Just as important to me in pediatrics, however, is mutual trust. I want to create an environment in which parents feel well advised and children feel safe. And when a young patient leaves the practice with a smile at the end, that, to me, remains the best proof of a successful treatment.

Teaching
Alongside my practical work as a pediatrician, the academic training of the next generation of medical professionals is close to my heart. As an adjunct professor (Privatdozent) at the Distance University of Hoden, I focus on the field of medical ethics.
In a time of rapid medical and technological progress, subject knowledge is only one side of the coin. Just as crucial is the ability to make complex moral and human decisions in everyday clinical practice with reflection. In my courses, I teach practical ethical guidelines that go beyond the textbook.
My teaching approach
Distance learning requires discipline and flexibility. My goal is therefore to make theoretical foundations as vivid and close to clinical everyday life as possible – because ethics can be discussed brilliantly in a lecture hall (or in front of a screen), but in the end it has to prove itself at the patient's bedside.
